Gandhi said what?

What a time to be alive, am i right?

These past couple of weeks have been a whirlwind. Between nationwide uproar and the nitty gritty of my own personal life, i haven’t quite been able to keep up.

As i sit here and watch the madness unravel in front of me, i can’t help but be overcome by every possible emotion. For a nation the claims to be “indivisible”, we seem more divided than ever. Or… maybe not? It seems that people are unhappy with our nation and its governing authorities. Because of that, they have rallied together against those governing authorities.

While i prefer not to share my own personal political opinion, my heart breaks for the rest of America.

I love people. All people.

I may not always agree with your life choices, but i am still going to love the heck outta you.

Seeing people scream and shout hate all in the name of love and equality doesn’t seem to add up to me? Gandhi said to BE the change you wish to see in the world, not shout it.

Shouting only ever got me put in time out.

***one quick thing and then i’ll move on—burning flags and vandalizing historical statues/monuments in your city is both disrespectful and illegal. Come on guys, don’t do that.***

There is a way to get a point across without disrespecting and degrading people, governments, and countries.

Actions speak louder than words.

Want a raise at work?

Work like you’ve already got it.

Want better grades in school?

Study harder and focus in class.

Want to be healthier?

Get moving and eat better.

Someone isn’t treating you the way you want them to?

Golden rule.

Have a problem with the Government?

Write a letter to and go visit your congressmen.

If you throw a temper tantrum(because of anything and everything in life), people are going to respond accordingly to your actions.

Rise above.

Statistically speaking, us millennials are entitled little whiney babies who don’t want to work, and want everything handed to us in life.

Statistically speaking, feminism has killed chivalry.

The statistics go on and on.

But.

Statistics are just statistics. And unless that statistic is 100%, there is at least 1 person who has dared to not accept the label of that statistic.

Be that person.

Be bold.

Be daring.

Stand out.

much love,

b.
